LA Harbor Women's Soccer 7th In SCC Tournament

The Los Angeles Harbor women's soccer team had a successful finish to the 2024 season as the Seahawks won their final three games, including two in the South Coast Conference Tournament, placing seventh in the 10-team tourney.

Harbor defeated East LA, 2-1, in the opening round, then downed Compton, 3-1, in the seventh place final which also served as the team's season finale.

In that win, Jennifer Gallardo broke a 1-1 tie with a goal two minutes before halftime and then assisted on Alexia Leon's second-half goal in an insurance tally.

Under the direction of first-year head coach Megan Ramos, Harbor finished fourth in the South Division, playing in one of most difficult conferences in the state.

The Seahawks (7-11-1 overall) celebrated some more with the news that four players were selected to the All-SCC South Division Team.

Making the First Team were sophomore defender Grace Hsieh and team-leading scorer Melani Ramos (seven goal, two assists) while Second Team selections were frosh defender Alexia Leon and first-year goalie Mily Salas, who backstopped five shutout victories and made 82 saves.
